Frequently Asked Questions
How does the selling process work?
- Submit your gear through our online form
- Receive a preliminary offer
- Accept the offer
- Ship your gear (or arrange local pick up for a large collection)
- We inspect and verify the item(s)
- Get paid once the inspection is complete.
Does submitting gear guarantee an offer?
No. Submission allows us to evaluate your gear. Offers are issued at our discretion based on market demand, condition, and resale viability.
How long does it take to receive an offer?
We aim to review submissions within 24 hours (business days).
What brands do you accept?
We accept most major photography brands including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Leica, Panasonic, Olympus/OM System, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Pentax, and more. We reserve the right to decline certain items based on condition or market demand.
How are offers calculated?
Offers are based on current market resale value, completed sales data, item condition, market demand, and required resale margin. All offers are preliminary until inspection is completed.
Can my final payout change?
Yes. If the physical condition differs from your submission, we may issue a revised offer after inspection. You will have the option to accept or decline the revised offer.
What happens if I decline a revised offer?
If you decline, your item can be returned to you. Return shipping terms will be communicated at that time.
What condition grades do you use?
We evaluate items based on cosmetic condition, mechanical functionality, optical condition (for lenses), sensor condition (for digital bodies), and completeness (caps, boxes, accessories).
Do you check serial numbers?
Yes. We verify serial numbers and may cross-check against theft databases. Items suspected of being stolen will not be returned and may be reported to authorities.
What if my camera has a minor issue?
Disclose all issues during submission. Minor issues may reduce the offer but typically do not disqualify the item. Undisclosed defects may result in a revised offer.
Who pays for shipping?
If your offer is accepted, we may provide a prepaid shipping label depending on the item and value. Packaging must be secure to prevent damage.
When does liability transfer?
Risk of loss transfers to Okazzion upon confirmed delivery to our facility. Carrier insurance terms apply during transit.
How should I package my gear?
Use bubble wrap, fill empty space in the box, protect lens elements, remove batteries if required, and do not ship loosely packed items
How do I get paid?
We offer payment via ACH transfer, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or company check. Payment is issued within 1–3 business days after inspection approval.
Do you require ID verification?
For high-value transactions, identity verification may be required to prevent fraud.
Do you charge any fees?
No hidden fees. Your offer amount is the amount you receive unless revised after inspection.
Do you sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell or share personal data.
How do you protect my information?
We use SSL encryption, secure hosting environments, restricted administrative access, and routine data backups.
What if I am a California resident?
California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to access, delete, and correct personal information.
What if there is a dispute?
We encourage communication first. Most issues are resolved quickly. Formal disputes are governed by our Terms of Service and may be subject to binding arbitration.
